Data protection basics

The basis for data collection is your consent, the processing of information to fulfill or initiate a contract, compliance with legal obligations, or our interest in communication initiated by you. The data will be deleted as soon as the purpose of communication has been achieved.

The use of dgd-online.de is generally possible without providing personal data. Automatically collected data

Whenever a user accesses individual pages of the website and requests a file, information about this process is stored in a log file. This data is not personal (internet browser used, number of page views, duration of stay on individual pages of the website) and is exclusively used by the German Society for Demography e.V. (DGD) to make the online offering more attractive in terms of content and functionality. The automatically collected information is only used within www.dgd-online.de and is not shared with third parties.

The website is built with the open source-based CMS WordPress (https://wordpress.org) which is why a mandatory cookie "testcookie" is set, which does not contain any personal information and is automatically deleted at the end of the session.

On a voluntary basis, we are sent personal information and documents

We store data temporarily on 256-bit encrypted, password-protected data carriers in the context of contractual obligations and cooperation with our clients. However, you can also use our website without disclosing your personal data to us. If you voluntarily contact us, we will not disclose any data to third parties without your express consent.

Newsletter

To receive the DGD newsletter, you must provide an email address, as well as your name, first name, and organization. We use this data exclusively for the purpose of sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties. By registering for the newsletter athttps://dgd-online.de/dgd-newsletter/, you agree to receive the newsletter. You can revoke your consent to the storage of your data and the associated sending of the newsletter at any time by email without formality, and your data will be deleted. Data that has been stored for other purposes (for example, for the members' area) remains unaffected by this.

Membership Applications

Personal data is collected and stored for the purpose of applying for membership. An SEPA direct debit mandate is also granted for recurring payments. The data is collected exclusively for the purposes of the DGD member database and is secured without being passed on to third parties. You can revoke your consent to the storage of personal data at any time by email without formality. Revocation of the direct debit mandate is carried out in accordance with the DGD statutes under §5 "Termination of Membership".

Unsolicited Personal Information and Documents

We irretrievably delete all unsolicited information and documents sent to us (spontaneous applications, company data, etc.) and do not respond to corresponding requests.
