University of Hamburg, Edmund-Siemers-Allee 1, ESA Main Building and ESA-Ost (ESA East-Wing). Opening and keynotes are held in lecture hall ESA-B, sessions are held in rooms ESA-Ost 120, 121and 123.

| CONFERENCE REGISTRATION |
| At the beginning of the first conference day, the registration desk is in the lobby of ESA-1, at other times registration is possible in the conference office, room ESA-Ost 122 (first floor). There you can also store your luggage. The conference secretariat is available for inquiries by phone or e-mail during the conference (jahrestagung-24@dgd-online.de). |
| TRAVEL |
| By train: For traveling from Hamburg Main Station (“Hauptbahnhof”) to the conference venue we recommend the S-Bahn lines S11 (in the direction of “Wedel”), S21 (in the direction of “Elbgaustraße”) or S31 (in the direction of “Pinneberg”). The trains take about 5 minutes from the S-Bahn station across Hamburg Main Station (“Hauptbahnhof”) to the S-Bahn station “Dammtor”, close to the conference venue. Alternatively, you can take bus number 5 (in the direction of “Burgwedel”, departing from “Hauptbahnhof/Mönckebergstraße) or 19 (in the direction of “Alsterdorf”, departing from “Hauptbahnhof/ZOB") to bus stop “Dammtor (Messe/CCH)”. By plane: Hamburg Airport is connected to Hamburg Main Station (“Hauptbahnhof”) by S-Bahn line S1 (in the direction of "Ohlsdorf" or "Blankenese" or "Wedel"). The S-Bahn operates every 10 minutes and takes about 25 minutes from the Airport to the Main Station. The S-Bahn station is directly in front of the terminals. Take the S1 to “Hamburg Main Station”, there you need to change trains to “Dammtor” (see above). For further information on public transport in Hamburg see map By car: Please note that there is no free parking at the University and parking facilities close to the university are limited. We highly recommend using public transport. |
| CATERING |
| During breaks, beverages and snacks are served in room ESA-Ost 221 (second floor). After the General meeting of the DGD (for DGD members only) on 20 March 2023 from 19:30-21:00 a reception is held in room ESA-Ost 221 (second floor) Lunch on 21 March 2023 from 13.00-13:45 is served in the Mensa – please follow signs on campus (voucher worth 10€ is included in your conference fee). The conference dinner on 21 March 2023 from 19:15-21:15 (confirmation necessary, included in your conference fee – NOT included in virtual participation and day tickets) will take place at the restaurant “Parlament” (see map) located in the Building of the Parliament of Hamburg (Mönckebergstraße/ Rathausmarkt). Walking distance to the restaurant is 21 mins, alternatively we recommend bus number 4 (in the direction of “Brandstwiete”) to “Speersort” or buses number 5 and 19 (in the direction of “Hauptbahnhof/ZOB”) to “Rathausmarkt” |
